Owner’s Representation

At FOCUS, our goal is to become your trusted partner for critical facility construction.  Using an Owner's Representative can be a cost conscious way to reduce or eliminate pricey mark-ups, provide a critical layer of peer review or supplement expertise not available in-house.  We believe an effective approach starts in the pre-construction phase by taking the time to truly understand your financial model and the business case for the project.  This must happen before the first line is drawn or shovel lifted and includes understanding the intricacies of your desired outcome and the processes you want followed. With this understanding established, we can then combine decades of critical facility experience with deep technical and infrastructure acumen to expertly represent your interest by guiding the design firms, construction team and other vendors through the planning, equipment specification, integration, construction, commissioning and testing processes.

It requires strong, experienced leadership, business acumen and long-term, reliable vendor relationships. As a Project Manager, FOCUS can work within your project goals to provide additional services and resources to your critical facility construction or up-grade project.  These services can include:

Once the project is underway, we will establish processes and reporting to ensure on-going adherence to budget and schedule and we will advise you during important decision-making gates so as to avoid delays or cost overruns.  From design development to close-out we will supply oversight to the design and construction teams to continually drive the project to meet established quality objectives and evolving project needs.

Post-occupancy Support

As your project approaches completion, our involvement need not stop there.  Whether its us helping with the selection or installation of a comprehensive Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), providing maintenance consulting, or establishing standards and procedures for a full scale infrastructure preventative and emergency service program, we have expertise and the wherewithal to help you establish both short- and long-term facility optimization and continued reliability programs.
