A confederation of entities, led by Grid Independent Data Centers is seeking to develop the first of several innovative - data center anchored - energy independent, off-grid, eco-industrial parks they have planned for suitable US locations. FOCUS was asked to help them refine and simplify their complex and somewhat overwhelming story in an effort to raise just over $20 million to fund the Development Phase of their initial project.
Multiple entities, an elaborate funding strategy, and a technically complex subject matter required the challenging of all key assumptions of the group's business plan. Through a series of workshops, FOCUS helped the team refine strategy, streamline structure and clarify their messaging. The result: a straightforward story told over eighteen slides that eliminated the unnecessary, clarified the complex and is now sharply focused on the essential elements of GIDC's bold value proposition.

Building on its remarkable track record of successful investments in digital infrastructure spanning the commercial real estate, data center and telecom markets across the United States and Europe, Chirisa Investments was seeking additional equity capital to underpin its strategy for acquiring opportunity driven, value-add assets in the data center and data center real estate markets.
They asked FOCUS to help them tell their story in a way that succinctly conveyed their history for creating value, articulated their vision for future opportunities and emphasized the experience of its management team. The slide deck and supporting Case Studies we created did just that.
